Jennifer Blanchard
Jennifer is a senior litigator with a broad range of experience inside and out of the courtroom. She has represented clients at all levels of Alberta’s courts as well as in mediations and arbitrations.
Prior to joining Wilson Laycraft in 2026, Jennifer has worked for large international firm, a specialized boutique firm, and as in-house litigation counsel.
Jennifer’s practice has included real estate disputes, foreclosure and mortgage law including mortgage fraud, debt collection, insolvency, construction, landlord-tenant, corporate and insurance litigation. She has frequently served as counsel for other lawyers on professional negligence claims, giving her exposure to many areas of law.
Much of Jennifer’s practice has involved high-conflict litigation, difficult and vexatious litigants, and acting against self-represented parties. With this varied background she has developed strategies for cost-effective resolution of legal disputes.
Jennifer has served as the chair of the CBA Southern Alberta foreclosure law sub-section, as a volunteer with Student Legal Assistance at the University of Calgary and as a mentor to law students.
